Start here and use these resources FIRST, before you do any random Googling. Just remember Chocolate Mines and Channeling Cleopatra and Mars. Remember not everything you read online is TRUE. Be critical and be sure you can find some of the same information in multiple places.

This is a great place. Visit it often for well-researched, hand-selected sites for biographies.
• Biography.com: Great information on lots and lot of people
• Kids Click Biographies : Lots of choice. A great directory to responsible web sites.
• Biography Center: This site lets you make choices. It is arranged alphabetically by last name.
• Academy of Achievement: Look carefully at this site. There is a pull-down list of people.
• Information Please: BIOGRAPHY-Great directory. This site has a bunch of cool stuff happening.
• Ask Art: This is a database of artists.
• Abraham Lincoln's Classroom- Amazing!
• PBS-Biographies of Music-JAZZ
• Harcourt Multimedia Biographies-This site has numerous biographies

Books are books with 0-4 authors.
Online encyclopedias and print encyclopedias are different.
eLibrary, ProQuest, SIRS are online databases.
